Adjectives...

Adjectives are used as predicates and noun modifiers. Ther inflict and are divided into two groups, い adjectives and な adjectives according to the infliction.

In な adjective sentences ending in です, the な is dropped from the adjective.
becomes To make the negative form of い adjectives, the い at the end is changed to くない with one exception, the negative for いい です (it's good) is よくない です。For な adjectives the ですでは ありません。
If an adjective is put before a noun to modify it, you do need to include the な of the な adjective.
When asking someone their opinion or impression of something (which you would expect an adjective sentence in reply to), use どう です か。
