Feelings

When expressing how someone else is feeling, it is common to say that someone 'seems' to feel a certain way. For example
If you are talking to someone, and you want to say that they seem happy, use ね to indicate that you are not sure of the other person's state.
To ask someone what has happened to make them feel this way:
The use here of 'んです' means that the answer will mirror the question and also contain 'んです' and use the plain style conjugation.
You can also ask someone the specific reason they are feeling this way, using 'んです'.
